Ross Lake offers fishing, hiking, backpacking, tent camping, kayaking and canoeing. These activities are especially appealing here because of our relative seclusion. |

One of the most popular activities is fishing for our native Rainbow trout (also an occasional Cutthroat and Eastern Brook trout). Trolling with artificial lures or flies is the recommended method of fishing. The resort has rods for rent and tackle for sale. The resort staff can provide information on fishing conditions and techniques.

The Ross Lake area offers some of the most beautiful hiking trails in the North Cascades. (Sourdough Mountain, Devils Loop, Desolation Peak, Beaver Loop)
All trails and campgrounds are well-maintained and regulated by the National Park Service. |

Tent camping is outstanding - there are many campgrounds around the lake with tentsites, picnic tables, cooking grills and outhouses at each one. |

Finally...this large, beautiful lake (with its Falls and Creeks and wildlife) can only be fully appreciated by boat, kayak or canoe. View our rentals » |
