We offer Truck Portage between Diablo Lake and Ross Lake for small vessels. Launch vessels on Diablo Lake at the Colonial Creek Campground. Travel 5 miles to the end of Diablo Lake. Recomended times to portage are between 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.*
*Due to the rock slide, portages will be different this year. Call 206-386-4437 or National Park Wilderness Information at 360-854-7245. We can not portage motor boats at this time. A phone has been installed near the portage dock to call the resort for a portage.

Water Taxis are for hikers to/from trailheads on Ross Lake. The fares below are for the boat trip (not a per person cost). We can pick-up or drop-off a maximum of 6 passengers per trip anywhere on the lake. Please call us at (206) 386-4437 for a quote or to make water taxi reservations. When meeting a water taxi bound for a trailhead, hike down from Highway 20. Advance reservations and prepayment are required for the water taxis from trailheads on the lake to the gravel road (have a car waiting for you at milepost 134 on Highway 20).
Backcountry camping permits are required and can be obtained free at the Marblemount Ranger Station (360-854-7245) on your way here. We are available to provide portages and water taxis seven days a week 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
